Getting Started

Are you just getting started on a custody or support issue?  Did you just get served papers?
Or are you thinking about making the first move?

Timing is critical.  The party that moves first might be the party that determines which court or county or state is going to control this matter now and until the child turns 18 years old.  It could determine which story the judge is going to hear first.

While you might not lose a case just because the other side made the first move, we prefer being the party to strike first.  It is important to make your next move correctly, whether that is the opening move or the response to papers you were served.  You can lose a case by simply doing nothing.

If you can afford quality legal representation, contact our firm.  We can prepare your first round of paperwork and get it properly filed with both the court and the other side (if they can be found).  If you wish, we can also represent you in court in any county in California.

If you CANNOT afford a lawyer, it is urgent that you contact the Legal Aid Society in your county or the county where the court sits.  Depending on their load and your income, they may be able to help you for free.

The problem with sitting on your rights is that you might be in that seat for a long time.
If we can help, call Warren Law Group PC
